Have the Oakland Raiders fallen out of love with Matt Schaub already.
The Raiders drafted Carr in the second round with the intent of stashing him on the sidelines for a season or two so that he could learn behind Matt Schaub.
Raiders brass has seen significant improvement in Carr, and feel “he’s better than they thought he would be.”
“I really, really like him,” Olson said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “Everybody knew he was accurate, but he is more accurate than we thought. … We’ll have to wait and see how he does against a live rush, but so far his intelligence, accuracy and quickness in getting the ball out has been excellent.”
The plan was for Carr to sit at least a season behind Schaub. These are the Raiders we are talking about, so don’t be surprised if Carr is thrown to the wolves before he’s really prepared to play.
