NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Denver Nuggets

Sam Amick of USA Today is reporting that Lionel Hollins is the favorite to replace Jason Kidd as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets if the Bucks do indeed hire him away.

Veteran head coaches Lionel Hollins and George Karl would be serious candidates for the position, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Hollins, who took the Grizzlies to the Western Conference finals in 2013 and remains in the running for the Los Angeles Lakers job, is seen as the early front-runner. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the process.

The Bucks and Nets are discussing compensation for Kidd as we speak, with reports saying that the Nets would prefer a first round pick.  Brooklyn is likely to have to settle for a combination of second round picks to rid themselves of Kidd.
