The latest is a slew of reports of possible sexual assaults on college campuses comes from the University of Texas. Two Lomghorn football players have been questioned by campus police in regards to a sexual assault investigation. Campus police would not release the names of the players questioned stating it violated privacy rules.
A UT police spokesman confirmed that an investigation has begun involving three students after a recent on-campus incident. However, UT police would not divulge the identity of any individuals or the location of the incident, citing federal privacy rules. Campus police would not confirm whether anyone involved was a football player, either.
It’s still in the early stages of the investigations, so please don’t jump to any conclusions. Updates will come as soon as more informations is released. Longhorns football coach Charlie Strong has not made any comments regarding the situation, but this definitely isn’t a good way to welcome him to Austin.
