Alabama defensive lineman Jarran Reed was arrested and charged with a DUI on Sunday according to the Tuscaloosa police. The 6-foot-4, 310-pound transferred from East Mississippi Community College to Alabama.
Reed is being held on $1,000 bail, had a blood alcohol content of .13 when the legal limit is .08. Here is what Nick Saban had to say:
“We are disappointed in Jarran’s actions and this is obviously not the kind of behavior we expect from our players,” he said. “It is a privilege to represent the University of Alabama and there are responsibilities that go along with that privilege. We’ll evaluate the situation and determine the appropriate discipline so better choices and decisions can be made in the future.”
We know how Bama recruits so any suspension that comes down would not be earth shattering for the Tide. However, this is the second time this month the team has had someone arrested so they might want to tighten up.
