Report: Bills Kiko Alonso Has Torn ACL


The Buffalo Bills are reporting that stud second-year linebacker Kiko Alonso may have suffered a serious knee injury while working out in Oregon.

Bills GM Doug Whaley confirmed that it could be serious.

Alonso was named PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year following the 2013 season. The second-round draft pick was was third in the league in tackles while being named runner-up to the New York Jets’ Sheldon Richardson as defensive rookie of the year.

Update: Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bills fear Alonso may have torn his ACL.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter also confirmed Alonso is likely to miss the upcoming season.
