The voting for the 2014 MLB all-star teams has commenced with the roster announcement airing Sunday on ESPN. The most popular players among fans from the American and National leagues will do battle on July 15th at Target Field, in Minneapolis, MN. The winning team’s division will be awarded home-field advantage for the World Series in October.

New York Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter has been named to his ninth, and final all-star appearance, and while many may say that his popularity among fans guaranteed him a roster spot, his play this year has definitely been worthy of recognition.
Yankees win in Derek Jeter’s final regular season game in Minnesota, 9-7. Jeter goes 3-4 moving into 4th for most career singles (2,542).
