The Las Vegas summer league is a staple of the NBA’s off-season. It’s a place where rookies, undrafted free agents, and vets on their last legs look to make a name for themselves and secure spots on rosters for next season.
The crowd at Summer League games is a diverse group as well. Dads bringing their kids for a chance to see the next big thing in a more intimate venue, and of course celebs who probably won’t be sitting courtside at any NBA games anytime soon make their way out to the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. In the latter group is wall-clock wearing Flava Flav, who hit the summer league to take in a Knicks game.
Flav being Flav, his appearance wasn’t totally void of oddity. Twitter, like the rest of us, was curious as to why Flav had so many keys with him as he took in the game.

But being a (former) celeb does have its perks, as Flav was able to celebrate with the Knicks summer league squad after their 80-73 win.
