JR Smith Says Knicks Making the NBA Finals is Extremely Realistic

You have to believe you can do something, before you can actually do it. There is a very small percentage of people who believe the Knicks will reach the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t matter as long as the players believe.

JR took time out from trolling Rihanna and Heat fans on Instagram to say this about the Knicks chances, courtesy of NY Post.

“Extremely realistic,” the Knicks shooting guard said on “First Take” on Wednesday morning, when asked how realistic it was that the Knicks could win the East. “I’m confident. I don’t play to lose.”

He goes on to say that part of the reason he struggled last year was because of his knee, Tyson Chandler was unfocused about his game because of things happening off the court and Raymond Felton was well, Raymond Felton.

JR also thought Phil was going to get rid of him (he would have if he could).

“I was playing like a person who didn’t want to be there, not looking as focused as a person who should be,” he said.

What do you think of the Knicks chances of making the NBA Finals? I think their chances would be better if JR wasn’t on the team, but I digress.
