A fan at Globe Life Park left the Houston Astros/Texas Rangers game one bruise and one baseball heavy Wednesday evening, thanks to a hard hit foul ball by the Astros’ Jon Singleton:
It was funny this time; but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: There needs to be more protection for fans sitting that close to the field. If that foul ball catches him in the head area, instead of the ribs, we have a tragedy rather than a comical video clip.
The MLB would be wise to proactively look into this issue before they have another serious accident in one of their parks.
