There has been a growing feeling that Andre Johnson did not want to play for the Houston Texans anymore. He is likely fed up with the losing and at this stage in his career wants to play for a contender. According to Ian Rapoport, he has informed the team that he wants out:
Details of divide between Andre Johnson & #Texans is posting on @NFL.com. He told them he wants to play for another team. Houston resisting

Four teams have expressed interest in trading for #Texans WR Andre Johnson, who is working out now “not thinking of the Texans,” source said

The Texans resisting at this point isn’t surprising but it’s not like this came out of nowhere. He hasn’t been very committal about showing up for camp and doesn’t seem to be thinking about the Texans. Add into the mix that Johnson has restructured his deal three times for the Texas and this isn’t looking good.
I don’t think they can count on him showing up for them again. I’m sure the Patriots are lurking in the shadows.
