It’s a puzzling move for the Cavs who just selected Andrew Wiggins to fill a similar position. The Cavs see Hayward as a compliment to their young franchise cornerstones Kyrie Irving and the recently selected No. 1 pick.
Hayward averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists for the Jazz last season in 77 games. If Heyward is versatile enough to interchangeably guard the other teams small forward with Wiggins, it could be a scary lineup if Hayward can defend and shoot well from 3-point range.
