It seems like Pau Gasol has been under-appreciated by Laker fans and the organization for a few years now. As the Spaniard went into free agency, the most important thing to him was to feel wanted. From being benched by Mike D’Antoni to being in the middle of constant trade rumors, the do-it-all forward never got his proper due the past two seasons.
Since the start of free agency however, that has all changed dramatically. A day after Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook met Gasol in LA, two more contenders sent their reps to woo the Spaniard according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
Joakim Noah and the Bulls were in LA to court Pau Gasol today. Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra are up next. Yesterday it was KD and Westbrook

This isn’t much of a surprise as the power forward brings All-Star talent and likely will be had at a much cheaper price than some of the other big names on the market. Wherever Gasol decides to go, he may swing the balance of who the real NBA Finals favorites are.
