I understand the T-Wolves want to get a lot from Kevin Love, but if they aren’t careful they aren’t going to get anything and he is just going to leave via free agency.
If this report is true from ESPN, this is more than a fair offer from the Cavs and the T-Wolves should take it immediately.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed a blockbuster trade centered on Kevin Love and the league’s past two No. 1 draft picks, league sources told ESPN.
In an attempt to add Love, a three-time All-Star, the Cavaliers are willing to part with Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett.
One source said the Cavs also are willing to give up a first-round draft pick for next season.
At one point, a trade seemed close to happening, but Minnesota wants more than the Cavaliers are currently offering, sources said.
I think Kevin Love is an excellent player and would immediately make the Cavs the heavy favorite in the EAST, but the Cavs shouldn’t offer any more than what they have. That is two former #1 picks and a future 1st round draft pick, if the T-Wolves want more that is too bad.
