Another network is on board. Today the SEC Network reached a deal with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks to carry the channel in time for the August 14th launch. The addition of TWC and Bright House bring the SEC Network into 60 million homes as of right now.
“We know we have customers who want the SEC Network, and are pleased to bring it to them,” said Andrew Rosenberg, Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition for Time Warner Cable. “This deal will help ensure that fans and alumni of SEC universities won’t miss any important games.”
The first game on the SEC Network will be Texas A&M vs. South Carolina, on August 28 at 6 p.m. ET. Of course fans are waiting for the big domino of DirecTV to fall. I expect that to happen before the season starts.
