Soccer star Carlos Tevez and his family can breath easier this afternoon. Tevez’s father had been kidnapped from his vehicle in Argentina according to reports. Fortunately for the family, Tevez’s father was returned unharmed just eight hours later.
The kidnappers demanded a ransom of $400K to be paid for the safe return of his father, and it was promptly done. Unfortunately, this kind of thing isn’t uncommon in parts of the world such as Argentina. Tevez was sold to Manchester United last year for over $15 million, so it isn’t surprising that his family is now a target. His father’s name remains unidentified for safety reasons.
