In the last couple of years, Adidas has really gone out of its way to give UCLA some alternate uniforms. The next up for the Bruins is the all blue ‘LA Steel’ alternate uniforms.
The gear is the latest TECHFIT stuff from Adidas and is meant to pay tribute to the City of Angels. I don’t know if the good people of LA are feeling the love with these but I am sure it got the players and recruits excited. There is a lot going on with these uniforms including the visible city skyline on the sleeves of the compression undershirt that goes with the uniform and on the “UCLA” lettering on the pants.
I am typically a fan of the non-traditional uniforms and these are no different. The cleats, helmet, and compression shirt are fantastic. I just don’t like the shoulders but I can get over it. B+ effort here.
