I guess NFL teams really do decide how to discipline their players based on star power. Dez Bryant got blasted going across the middle a few days ago, started a fight and was lauded for his maturity.
Martellus Bennett received the same treatment from Bears rookie Kyle Fuller, slammed the defensive back, but his consequences aren’t quite the same.
Bennett was just fined and suspended by the Bears for his conduct.

I’m not singling Dez Bryant out because training camp fights happen on a daily. Guys are tired, exhausted and ready to hit someone from another team.
Bennett could have really hurt Fuller, whom the Bears are expecting big things out of. His arguing with Brandon Marshall for almost 15 minutes after the fight probably didn’t help his cause either.
