The Miami Hurricanes have named their starting QB and they are going with potential. True freshman Brad Kaaya has been named the team’s starter and will lead the Canes on the field in the opener against Louisville on Sept 1st:
“As I told him, he’s our quarterback,” Miami coach Al Golden said Sunday afternoon after practice, a few hours after informing Kaaya and Heaps of the decision. “He’s not a freshman quarterback. He’s the University of Miami quarterback.”
The Canes are very high on the 6’4″ 206lb QB from California. They rave about his poise and how hard he has studied the playbook to put himself in position to win this job. Brad is also Felicia from Friday’s son, so that adds a little extra intrigue to his story.
Good luck to him now that he has won the job.
