Coming off of a season in which he started 15 games for the NY Giants and didn’t score a single touchdown, you’d think new Indianapolis Colts wideout Hakeem Nicks would be chomping at the bit to tear up the field and get back to form right?
Well according to offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, that isn’t exactly the case. He acknowledged Saturday that he doesn’t believe Nicks is firing on all cylinders.
“Yeah, I don’t know if I can say that I’ve seen enough,” Hamilton said, according to Tom James of The (Terre Haute, Ind.) Tribune-Star. “I think he is still working to get himself in game shape.”
Nicks, 26 is the perfect compliment to burner T.Y. Hilton and reliable vet Reggie Wayne, if he’s focused and healthy. It’s very early in camp still, so don’t be surprised to hear about other players not yet in game shape.
