There are several perspectives about the impending trade of Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota. The latest is coming from Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant. Bryant believes that Cleveland is making a huge mistake by sending Wiggins to the Timberwolves and compared it to when Charlotte drafted and traded him to the Lakers.

Of course, the obvious advantage that Kobe had with his trade was that he was going to an organization with a rich and proud tradition of winning. On the other hand, the Timberwolves have never won a championship, much less a conference title. Although the Cavaliers haven’t won a championship, they have some conference titles under their belt, and they new super team they’ve created, led by 2-time champion, Lebron James, certainly creates a better situation for any player than the Timberwolves. Wiggins’ athletic ability can’t be denied, but it remains to be seen whether or not Cleveland will suffer in misery the way Charlotte has as they watched Kobe win 5 championships with the Lakers.
