Now that LeBron James has gone back to the Cavs, four of the most anticipated games this season will feature James taking on his former team the Miami Heat. Watching James go up against Wade and Bosh will be on everyone’s must-see list.
Luckily for fans, they won’t have to wait too long to see it happen. The Cavs released their preseason schedule, and as fate would have it, the two teams will meet in Brazil as part of the NBA’s Global Games.
The Cavs-Heat game will be the NBA’s second game ever in South America. The Cavs will take on the defending Eastern Conference champions at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The contest is part of this year’s NBA Global Games, and will allow Cavs center Anderson Varejao to play an NBA game in his homeland for the first time.
Talk about adding intrigue to an otherwise meaningless preseason game. It will be interesting to see how the players interact with one another once they hit the court.
