Notre Dame has reportedly dismissed four starters from their football team for academic fraud. The news comes one year after the Fighting Irish lost their starting quarterback Everett Golson for the entire season for cheating on an exam.
This time, four starters have been dismissed from ND after the school conducted an internal investigation this summer, sources close to the program told FOX Sports.
It is unclear if the players will be reinstated after a period of time like Everett Golson. This is a huge blow for the Fighting Irish who are ranked No. 17 in a preseason coach’s poll and will open their season on August 30 against Rice.
