Jerry Rice Jr. knows he can play in the NFL, now he just needs to get healthy. The Redskins have waived the injured wide receiver three days after he tore the labrum in his left shoulder, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
If Rice Jr. goes through waivers unclaimed, he will be placed on Washington’s injured reserve list.
Rice Jr., the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, joined Washington’s roster as an undrafted free agent this summer.
