The latest trend in college football is for big time college programs to take out insurance policies for their star players who are projected to go high in the NFL Draft.
According to CBSSports’ Jeremy Fowler, Mariota will not receive assistance from Oregon.
Mariota could’ve entered the NFL Draft after last season but decided a return to Oregon was in his best interest. Mariota’s family has taken out an insurance plan for this season but it’s doubtful they’d be able to provide him with the type of insurance plan Oregon could afford.
