Unfortunately for this college football coach that refused to say with his chest, Braxton Miller isn’t in the NFL yet, so he doesn’t necessarily have to beat you with his arm at this point.
The college football season is upon us, and one anonymous coach felt the need to quietly rip Ohio State’s Heisman Trophy candidate. SI.com released its annual college football preseason top 25 poll. Ohio State came in at No. 4, and as a part of the preview an unidentified coach was allowed to give his opinion via an “Opposing Coach’s Take.”
Even though Braxton Miller has thrown for 5,292 yards and 52 touchdowns in his career, the coach doesn’t believe Miller scares opposing defenses as a passer.
He’s a hard guy to get down. But he doesn’t scare you as a passer. We’d bring six guys and he still couldn’t find anyone to throw it to. Most of their yards are on broken plays where he runs for 40 yards. If he figured out the passing game, he would be very scary. I wouldn’t want to see that.
He doesn’t scare the coach as a passer, but the opposing coach was probably still on the losing end of a lopsided score. That sounds scary to me.
