This is assuming of course the entire thing isn’t a WORK. For you non-WWE fans, a work is something that is part of show, but people believe is real.
But, for a minute let’s assume it is real and this store is true, was Del Rio justified? Here is the story via the Washington Post.
“Based on sketchy stories and what wrestlers have been talking about, at catering, somebody asked [Web producer] to clean off his plate. The person joked something along the lines of how that’s Del Rio’s job. Del Rio found out and confronted him. As the story goes, he didn’t apologize and then smiled at him, and Del Rio slapped him.”
While we have talked about recently not putting your hands on people, did the WWE also punish the employee as well? The WWE’s reputation in regard to race relations aren’t very good. Their stereotypical portrayals of blacks and hispanics have been well documented over the years.
Curious what Del Rio will have to say whenever he decides to speak on this.
