With Kevin Love officially gone, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor decided to take a few shots at his former franchise player.
“I think where maybe he got away with some stuff not playing defense on our team, I’m not sure that’s how it’s going to work in Cleveland,” Taylor said on ESPN Radio 1500 AM in the Twin Cities on Tuesday. “I would guess they’re going to ask him to play more defense and he’s foul prone.”
Taylor didn’t go Dan Gilbert here, but it’s still funny to me how people talk about you when you’re gone. If they let Kevin Love get away with these things in Minnesota, that says a lot of about their franchise and coaching staff.
It is the coaching staff responsibility, the men that Taylor hired to make sure that the players are playing up to their potential. Obviously, that wasn’t happening and maybe that is why Love wanted to leave.
Here is what Love had to say.
