The saga of Christy Mack and War Machine continues as War Machine’s brother, Michael Eugene Koppenhaver, has come forward to tell his brother’s side of the story. Christy Mack’s version of the story claims that her and War Machine broke up in May, but he popped up at her home unannounced on Friday. She was there with a male friend. A then jealous War Machine beat up her male friend and then began to beat her along with using a knife on her. Mack also claims she was only able to escape because War Machine went to her kitchen to get another knife.
The version of the story told by War Machine’s brother via BJPenn.com is entirely different than what Mack told police.
Christy Mack and War Machine were in fact still together, and were seen at a Bellator event several weeks ago. He returned to her home to find her having sex with another man. War Machine and the other man got into a physical altercation and Christy grabbed a knife, and War Machine in fact fought for his life, much like he claimed on Twitter when the incident first occurred. Michael went on to tell us that the reason War Machine hasn’t turned himself in is because the judge from his last stint in jail would be his judge in this case, and he feels that she wouldn’t grant him a fair trial.
Both War Machine and Christy Mack have their versions of the truth. If Christy Mack really did make an attempt with War Machine’s life with a knife, then his blood will undoubtedly be at the crime scene. War Machine can then make a case at self-defense. War Machine’s claims that him and Mack were still in a relationship appear to be true, since he made several posts about her on his Instagram account at the end of July. Either that or he was in denial about the truth of their relationship. As of now, the only thing we know to be true is that Christy Mack was severely beaten by War Machine.
