Just as Teddy Bridgewater lost the starting QB battle in Minnesota, his school Louisville made the announcement on who will be their starting QB. Sophomore Will Gardner has won the job:
Gardner was considered the favorite following a good spring, but still had to prove himself in fall camp. Petrino said he did that, announcing in a release Sunday night that Gardner ”demonstrated good decision-making and executed our offense.’
Gardner played in six games and completed 8 of 12 passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He will be helped greatly if his star WR Devante Parker turns out to be ok after injuring his foot.
