Aaron Hernandez had been indicted and is awaiting two seperate murder trials. A newly released sworn statement from Hernandez, that was used to try and suppress evidence found by the police from interrogation at his home, goes as follows. Via Boston Globe,
“I felt helpless in the face of the occupation of my house by the police,” he said in a newly released court document. “I was also very concerned about what would happen to my fiance and our baby if I refused to answer their questions. I did not feel free to leave at any time during the search.”
This is the first time we’ve gotten, in his own words, a sliver of the story. Much of the compelling evidence against Hernandez in the murder of Odin Lloyd stemmed from this interrogation which Aaron’s lawyers is calling illegal.
