Floyd Mayweather doesn’t have the power to hurt anyone in the ring, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to win easily anyway.
Amir Khan has returned to politicking and taking shots in hopes of landing an opportunity to particpate in the Mayweather sweepstakes.
After watching Mayweather win a twelve-round decision over Marcos Maidana on Saturday night – Khan feels even more confident of being able to take down the pound-for-pound king.
Khan believes Mayweather is lacking the power to hurt or beat him.
“In a boxing match, I’ve never been outboxed. Floyd Mayweather, I don’t think he has the power to hurt me. I think when it comes to skills, I will outshine him. And when it comes to boxing, a game of chess – I know that I will beat anyone,” Khan said.
Khan believes that his particular fighting style and speed would give Mayweather more problems than he can handle.
“Maidana was giving him a lot of problems and I would give him ten times as many problems,” Khan said. “The guy he fought who was nearly as quick as me was Zab Judah and he gave him a hell of a lot of problems. I am a lot quicker than Zab and more explosive than any of those guys [that Mayweather fought].”
