WWE got some rough news for Raw this week as the early ratings don’t look good. Raw scored its lowest viewership since May with 3.83 million viewers tuning in and only a 1.33 in the coveted 18-49 demo. Hmmm, what would be on on Mondays that might siphon off that 18-49 . Yes, Monday Night Football which scored a 9.2 rating in the 18-49 demo alone dominated. It doesn’t help that the football game was hotly contested until the final seconds. WWE tried to lure people in as they made sure to let the world know throughout the show that John Cena wanted Brock Lesnar by “halftime” of Raw. The word “halftime” was used many times to let people flipping back and forth know when to tune in. WWE wanted their big money story line to get people’s attention who switched over from the football game at halftime and hopefully keep a few extra viewers around, especially seeing that they paid a premium to have Lesnar on Raw. A way for WWE to try and hook the viewers but with a sub-par show built around Brock and Cena viewers aren’t being compelled to stick around. WWE decided to end their big go home show with the Mark Henry vs Rusev feud. I guess WWE thought Lana equals ratings. The WWE pay-per-view Night of Champions is this Sunday featuring the Lesnar vs Cena rematch from Summerslam.
