Former Oregon and recently released Packers tight end Colt Lyerla was arrested for DUI in Oregon on Saturday according to Sports Illustrated via according to The Oregonian.
The Oregonian also reports that Lyerla “is suspected of being high on either illegal drugs or prescription medications when he was pulled over.”
Lyerla was kick out of Oregon for substance abuse issues during his junior season. He was arrested for possession of cocaine three weeks after withdrawing from school.
The extremely talented Lyerla was not drafted, but signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent. He was released on Aug. 26.
