ESPN’s “My Wish,” which is partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, grants unique sports-related wishes for children with illnesses.
The University of Florida has followed in ESPN’s footsteps by granting a young boy his wish.
According to Bleacher Report, the Gators brought Gavin Lambert, a boy with Friedreich’s Ataxia- a life shortening, neuromuscular disease- to the university. Florida appointed Gavin as their honorary captain for the game vs. Idaho and also showed him around the facility.
It’s amazing to see a young boy going through so much be able to smile through it all. Kudos to the University of Florida for granting Gavin this opportunity.
