Even though many will disagree with his assessment, his train of thought is at least logical. Here is what JR had to say to the NY Post about the Knicks Shooting Guards.
“We can hit people from three totally different angles,” said the 6-foot-6 Smith, whose non-basketball escapades last season (think Twitter and shoelaces) continually made the world an interesting place.
“I think there’s not a team in this league that has what we have at the shooting guard spot, and that’s very unique,” Smith said. “Some people look at it as ‘You’ve got to treat it as one or two of them.’ I don’t think you should look at it like that. I think you should look at it as a dynamic trio like people do with running backs in football.”
I am not sure if JR, Shump and Hardaway Jr. are putting the fear of God into any teams, but if they work together as JR is proposing they can be very effective.
