Sherman has built up this WWE persona and for the most part has backed it up on the field, but he has to be aware that when you do that if you do have an off day people are going to point out it.
Philip Rivers went 6-6 when going Sherman’s way on Sunday and Keenan Allen had some success against him. Nothing major, but when you call yourself the best, you can run from the media when you don’t have the best of games. It is going to happen from time to time. It was very weak for Sherman to decide to Tweet jokes but not be man enough to answer questions face to face.
Allen for his part had a lot to say.
“He’s just a normal guy,” Allen said of Sherman. “We can go at him. We took some shots at him. We are not going to shy away from him. He’s not really a shutdown corner. We definitely wanted to come out and show we could go any way we wanted to and that we were in control of the game.”
Chargers were in control of the game and no matter if you are the Super Bowl Champs or the self proclaimed best CB in the game, you can’t win them all.
