Rookie head coach Derek Fisher is looking to add some discipline in New York.
The Knicks missed the playoffs last year in the dreadful eastern conference, but with Carmelo Anthony back in the fold, there’s some optimism around the organization.
As a bonding tool, Fisher has decided to take his team to West Point for the first week of training camp later this month.
The Derek Fisher-led Knicks will start camp at West Point on Sept. 30 and end it Oct. 4. Team USA’s World Cup team practiced there last month under the direction of Mike Krzyzewski.
Nobody truly knows what kind of coach Fisher will turn out to be, but this idea seems to be brilliant on the surface.
