Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was expected to be good coming out of Michigan State, but his play to start off this season has been frightening.
People around the NFL are starting to take notice.
While leading all players with 461 yards from scrimmage after three weeks of play so far, Bell got the ultimate compliment from a former NFL great.
Future Hall of Famer and NFL Network analyst LaDainian Tomlinson dubbed Bell “the best running back in the league” on Tuesday.
“Let me just say this: Right now, I would take Le’Veon Bell over any running back in the league,” NFL Media’s LaDainian Tomlinson said on Tuesday’s edition of NFL Total Access. “… He can do it all, people. He can run inside, he has the speed to turn the corner, he can catch the football, he’s versatile, he’s athletic. I love Le’Veon Bell.”
It’s hard to argue with that assessment. Adrian Peterson will be out for awhile, and LeSean McCoy and Jamaal Charles have gotten off to slow starts.
Marshawn Lynch should get the nod because both players are similar, but Lynch’s body of work over the past 3-4 seasons speaks for itself.
