The ways that the Detroit Lions end up on the injury report sometimes can truly perplex even the brightest of minds. After WR Nate Burleson was injured last year when he crashed his car trying to save a pizza from sliding off the seat, and more recently, LB Stephen Tullock was lost for the rest of this season after celebrating a sack; a new strange event has forced another Lions player on the shelf as it appears TE Joseph Fauria will miss some time after spraining his ankle trying to get his three-month old puppy outside before he did his business in the house:
Joe Fauria said he sprained his ankle after missing bottom two stairs while trying to stop his 3-month old dog from urinating in the house

Now I’m only concentrating on getting back on the field ASAP! Please no death threats to Lil’ Rufio, he’s just a pup! pic.twitter.com/Q1O5QM41RW

It’s hard to picture a three-month old puppy almost literally breaking the ankles of a professional football player, however stranger things have, and will definitely continue to happen.
