The Philadelphia Eagles can only hope to survive up front while waiting for Lane Johnson to return from suspension.
CSN Philly is reporting that backup right tackle Allen Barbe is likely to miss the remainder of the season with a high ankle injury.
Allen Barbre, who sustained an ankle injury Sunday against Jacksonville, is likely to undergo surgery and miss the rest of the season, according to a league source. Barbre, who signed a three-year extension in the offseason, was already filling in for starter Lane Johnson, who is serving a four-game PED suspension.
It’s not certain yet that Barbre will undergo season-ending surgery but the source said “it’s looking that way.” Adam Caplan of ESPN first reported Tuesday that Barbre could undergo season-ending surgery.
The Eagles host the Colts on Monday night football this week.
