Chris Jericho had the chance to interview Batista on his Talk is Jericho podcast last week and this week was able to sit down with WWE COO Triple H. Mighty big gets for Jericho, the future WWE Hall of Famer. Chris Jericho sat down with Triple H for a two part episode of his podcast to speak on a multitude of topics. Triple H spoke openly about the dysfunctional locker rooms from his days in WCW to coming to the WWE and the Kliq. Even touched on how he got his ring name. When Jericho asked if WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon would retire, Triple H was adamant that he doesn’t believe Vince would ever retire.
“People are like, ‘Oh, he’s being groomed to take over,’ no I’m not. It’s only if he [Vince McMahon] dies. The day he dies, apparently, I take over unless I’m the one that killed him and I go to jail.”

Triple H also spoke about the new WWE Performance Center in Orlando. It was his first real project as an executive and he hopes to use it as a farm system to feed into the WWE. Triple H compared it to how other sports had colleges feeding into them. The indy scene is drying up and Triple H felt they needed a good looking center to attract and train the next generation hoping it would help make the hopeful future stars more comfortable. They modeled the entrance ramp and other aspects to the regular WWE stages. I’m sure that the ego of Vince McMahon has him believing he will outlast us all.
