The UCLA Bruins have suffered a loss at running back. Junior Steven Manfro tore his ACL in practice on Tuesday.
“That put a damper on practice,” UCLA coach Jim Mora told the Los Angeles Times. “Everyone was pretty shook up. We were having a good day. It kind of changed the mood.”
The Bruins didn’t have a good outing at the running game against Virginia last Saturday even though they ended victorious with a score of 28-20. The team only averaged 3.3 yards per carry rotating three backs, which included Manfro, Paul Perkins and Jordan James. Freshman Nick Starks will most likely take Manfro’s spot.
