Kurt Freitag has some explaining to do.
A search of the University of Alabama tight end’s dorm room by a task force yielded 112 grams of marijuana and $4,600 in cash, according to AL.com.
According to a fruits of crime forfeiture complaint filed Monday, agents of the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force were tipped off by a confidential information of a pending drug transaction involving the Crimson Tide’s sophomore tight end Kurt Freitag.
Agents monitoring Freitag saw the deal go down last Tuesday, according to the complaint, although his role in the transaction is not specified.
Freitag has his Miranda rights read to him, but there are no reports of him being arrested. He reportedly gave agents permission to search his Bryant Hall dorm room, where they found weed and the money.
Alabama had no comment.
