A member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office was arrested early Thursday morning on a misdemeanor DUI charge. Isaiah Harris is the director of player development, and ironically is suppose to be the man helping the Bucs players with life skills and training.
Harris, 35, refused to have his blood-alcohol content tested after being stopped by the Tampa Police Department at 2:06 a.m. Thursday in north Tampa. He was booked at 4:35 a.m. and released at 11:06 a.m. on a $500 bond. Harris didn’t allow police to administer a blood-alcohol test, but the arrest report says Harris allegedly hit a woman’s car while trying to back up in the Taco Bell drive-thru. More from Auman’s report:-per Greg Auman of Tampabay.com
Harris held the same position with the Chicago Bears under Lovie Smith for 5 years. Team personnel are subject to the same penalties as players when it comes to substance abuse, so Harris should expect a fine or suspension from the league office.
