Kobe’s retirement is something people have been waiting on like the second coming but he keeps defying the odds and keeps playing like he just got drafted. Kobe’s work ethic is unmatched and he’s coming back this season in hope of returning the Lakes to their former glory with new coach Byron Scott.
The game plan for Kobe is being mapped out by the newly head coach and its being projected that Kobe will be playing at least 30 minutes per game.
“He wants to play every game,” Scott said. “He wants to play every preseason game and every regular-season game.”
“His number was lower than mine,” Scott said after Lakers practice. “That surprised me. It helped me as well.”
Scott shared no specifics beyond saying the figure would be between 30 and 40 minutes per game. Bryant didn’t speak to reporters after practice.
A 36 year old Kobe playing at least 30 mins? Its more minutes than fans probably expected him to play. Seeing Kobe come off of only 6 games last season to playing all 82 this season is a huge jump. It will be interesting to see how his body takes it and where how his game will elevate.
