The NBA Board of Governors has voted down at the 2014 Board of Governors meeting, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski. It was assumed that the vote would pass when it was presented to the Board of Governors. The only team that was forthright with opposition to the vote was the Philadelphia 76ers, but 13 teams ended up voting the draft reform down. Those 13 teams were the Suns, Sixers, Bulls, Wizards, Jazz, Hawks, Hornets, Spurs, Buck, Pistons, Pelicans and Heat. The NBA might have just missed out on a great opportunity to allow teams to remain competitive, and still have a chance to get a good lottery pick.
