There’s a chance Aldon Smith could return to the 49ers early to help save their season because of good behavior.
According to Chris Mortensen via Pro Football Talk, the star pass rusher could have his nine game suspension reduced for behaving himself.
Smith was suspended before the season by the NFL for violating the leagues personal conduct policy several times. His nine-game suspension is set to end Nov. 10 after the 49ers play the Saints.
A PFT report says that Smith’s suspension could be reduced by one or two games, which means he could be available to play in a Week 9 game against the Rams or the Week 10 game against the Saints.
Smith has been allowed to be around his teammates at the 49ers facility.
