Being the commissioner of todays NFL pays more than you could ever imagine.
According to former NFL player Sean Gilbert, Goodell has made more than Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson combine since 2007.
“Are the players better off today than they were four years ago?” Gilbert asked at the time. For some players, hell yeah. For NFL commissioner Roger Goodell even more so.
Gilbert released the earnings of several high profile players along with Goodell, dating back to 2007. The numbers in comparison are not even close according to Jeff Howe.

Goodell’s salary has increased from $29.5 million in 2011 to $44.2 million in 2014. In Gilbert’s eyes, Goodells’ compensation is evidence of just how much power the NFL has.
