Considering the stories of errat behavior of Bironas before his deadly crash, this can come as too much of a shock to anyone.
Whatever demons he had, he was trying to drown them in alcohol and that led to him losing his life.
The toxicology report on late Titans kicker Rob Bironas revealed he had a blood alcohol level of .218%, well over the legal limit (.08), when he died.
Bironas lost control of his SUV and died in a one-car accident on Sept. 20. His vehicle hit several trees and landed upside down in a drainage culvert off Battery Lane. He was buried on Sept. 25.
Following the accident, two separate motorists claim Bironas confronted them in road rage incidents minutes before crashing his SUV. Connor Fraley, a 20-year-old Belmont student, told The Tennessean he was a passenger in a vehicle Bironas tried to run off the road during a high-speed chase after making threatening comments.
The accident is still under investigation.
