If you want to look at it glass half full, unlike Dwight Howard, Adrian Peterson acknowledges all his kids and seems to have a sincere interest in being in their lives, that is a good thing.
I don’t think people should be overly judgmental, but it is hard to take all the Bible quotes and holier than thou attitude of Peterson seriously when he has been basically spreading his seed all over the world. The majority of the time he was doing that he was engaged or married. All the kids are around the same age, so he didn’t have much regard for the women or his actions. Maybe he has learned his lesson (condoms are your friend AP), but here is what he had to say about all his children.
“You can look down on me and say, ‘You have six kids. You should not be at this, you should not be at that,’ ” Peterson said. “This is the cards I’ve been dealt based off my decisions. I make the best of it by spending time with my kids, any and every opportunity that I have.”
At this point that is really all he can do. You can be a good father even if you aren’t in your kids life everyday, but I just don’t think you can be a great father. What we can hope is when AP does see his children he has learned not to beat them.
